Life's Plans

As human beings, sometimes in life we make plans and tell ourselves "this is what we are going to do with the rest of our lives."

The last couple of years have punched a hole in that, right?

Life's highway are filled with winding turns, unexpected delays, breakdowns, and unfortunately accidents.

We can start off in our minds envisioning a well thought out plan to get us to our desired destination ........only to later find that road is closed or under construction.

"Often times our fondest shortcuts
lead us into major traffic jams"!

It seems to be increasingly difficult even for God’s people to make correct decisions!
It's not that God has changed but, because our lives have radically changed.

Well, there's one thing for sure......“You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.“ (Proverbs 19:2)

"A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.” {Proverbs 16:9}

Another thing we've learned of late......
keep your
 plans
flexible!

Though we serve an awesome God, our internal GPS must be calculated and continually updated by our Creator......not with our own agenda.
We are given a clear road map called the Word of God.

Daily we must consult our guide, the Holy Spirit for direction and wisdom.  Then, we must trust Him!

“The path we walk is charted by faith, not by what we see with our eyes.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)

When we are led by Him,
obedient and walk with Him,
He will be honored!

It's about Jesus - only Jesus!

Proverbs 3:5,6  says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

His Hands

Are you longing for God's strength in helping you be the person He wants you to be?

If so, you must first acknowledge your powerlessness.

Stop trying to do everything on your own!

Place your hands in the
strong,
powerful

hands of our Heavenly Father.

A Storm Is Coming

This is an very good word

for believers and non-believers!!

"A Storm is Coming
While the world is spinning out of control and moving toward greater expressions of darkness, we need to reexamine our moorings. Like a ship resting in a safe harbor, we can only remain in that safe place if the lines of our spiritual moorings have been made secure in the unchanging nature of God and the integrity of His unchanging word. Each compromise of Scripture and each reforming of God into our image cuts away at our moorings and will eventually sever those lines casting us adrift. An unmoored life will slowly move toward the open sea of spiritual conflict where we will be alone trusting only in our natural ability to navigate and relying on the integrity of the compromised hull of human intellect.
As the intensity of national and international drama intensifies, step off the vessel of your life and stand on the dock. Check your mooring lines once again to make sure they are secure. What is coming will test the lines we rely on to secure our docking in a safe harbor. At some point, the coming storm will enter even the harbor. Only lives tied securely to God and His word will be safe.
Like it was in the days of Noah, many will mock you for checking your mooring lines, even fellow believers who have succumbed to the spirit of the age. Those mocking voices have been adrift floating in the harbor for some time not realizing they are drifting toward the open sea. This is not a time to live in the illusion of assumption. Get up and step out onto the dock and check your mooring lines. A storm is coming."

Be Excited

Be excited

for the wonderful things

God has planned !

Pausing Our Story

To quote from the song My Story

“Oh to tell you my story – is to tell of Him.”

God has a plan and a purpose for us
in every season of life.

(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace".

New chapters..., new season(s).

Not tossing "the story" aside but, pausing (placing a bookmark), yet pressing on to what lies ahead and inviting the Holy Spirit to continue with helping to guide our footsteps. After all, He ushers in, or allows all changes that occur in our lives.
Sadly, sometimes we adopt the mindset that our current situation is the way it will always be. Yet, we are reminded and understand that when God brings about a change(s) in our life(s), it is because He is going to bring about a blessing that we can’t receive where we are.
His way is best!

Lord, may we navigate our changes in life with courage, grace, and peace so that we can make the most out of each season and glorify You at all times!
"The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD, And He delights in his way (and blesses his path)".
Psalm 37:23 - Amplified Bible
