2020 Vision

Our 2020 Vision

Age brings perspective......

Quotes
"Life is able to rise above mere existence when Jesus Christ is central in our thinking."

"Robert J. Waldinger. Psychology and Aging Vol 25(2), 422–431.   Heterosexual couples that were surveyed reported their marital satisfaction, time spent with others, and perceived happiness. The results.....more time spent with one’s spouse, is linked to greater happiness. "
"Enjoying your life is a significant contributor to healthy aging."

Our 2020 Vision is
to "envision" (transitive verb - to picture to oneself) -
verb - to picture mentally, especially some future event or events."

Within the past month we, as a couple attained a personal, distinguished and noteworthy achievement......50 years together - in love.  There were no medals of honor, stars or ribbons but we are truly blessed.
We "see clearly" and are "going for the GOLD!
This decades long journey to the finish line has countless precious memories as well as many that speak of sacrifice, courage, hardship, and hurdles.  ALL include abundant love.  It has been glorious!

Approaching another decade(s)....."seeing very clearly", we anticipate this season to be one of greater understanding and wisdom; given from God and His Word, not from man.

Someone once said that "Wisdom is knowing how to live."  (Proverbs 8:15)
Branching from wisdom and understanding there are prayers and hopes for evident growth and maturity in our faith.

2020 Vision for our FAITH
(Mustard Seed)

"He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”       Matthew 17:20 (NIV)

" I can do all things

through Christ

who strengthens me."

Philippians 4:13  (NKJV)

We are setting goals that will assist us as we finish our years together.....writing the first pages in the final chapters of our biographies.  These will be our best!

It is a fact - we are at the dawn of the aging process.
Certainly God did not keep this process of life a secret and
it does not come as a surprise but, it has come much quicker than expected!

It is not what you do that counts with God,
it is what you are.
Just because you can't do some things doesn't mean you can't do great things!

Often when we view "life" through the physical lens of our problems and our negative situations, there seems to be no "visible" solutions.  Today we are  - and we encourage you to allow God to open our inner "eyes of faith" so that
our "vision is clear" for 2020 ......and beyond.

You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways (Job 22:28).
