As human beings, sometimes in life we make plans and tell ourselves "this is what we are going to do with the rest of our lives."  The last couple of years have punched a hole in that, right? Life's highway are filled with winding turns, unexpected delays, breakdowns, and unfortunately accidents.       We can start off in our minds envisioning a well thought out plan to get us to our desired destination ........only to later find that road is closed or under construction.  "Often times our fondest shortcuts  lead us into major traffic jams"! It seems to be increasingly difficult even for God’s people to make correct decisions!        It's not that God has changed but, because our lives have radically changed.       Well, there's one thing for sure......“You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.“ (Proverbs 19:2) "A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.”...

  Are you longing for God's strength in helping you be the person He wants you to be?    If so, you must first acknowledge your powerlessness. Stop trying to do everything on your own!    Place your hands in the  strong,  powerful   hands of our Heavenly Father.

  This is an very good word  for believers and non-believers!! " A Storm is Coming While the world is spinning out of control and moving toward greater expressions of darkness, we need to reexamine our moorings. Like a ship resting in a safe harbor, we can only remain in that safe place if the lines of our spiritual moorings have been made secure in the unchanging nature of God and the integrity of His unchanging word. Each compromise of Scripture and each reforming of God into our image cuts away at our moorings and will eventually sever those lines casting us adrift. An unmoored life will slowly move toward the open sea of spiritual conflict where we will be alone trusting only in our natural ability to navigate and relying on the integrity of the compromised hull of human intellect.   Jesus often used sparrows to illustrate His point.    Luke 12:6-7 "Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins?  And not one of them is forgotten before God......Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." In this scripture, what was Christ's point ? YOU ARE VALUABLE IN GOD'S EYES! Always remember to base your worth on God's amazing love and acceptance. Today are you feeling alone like "a sparrow on the housetop"? Do you feel as if "your nest" has been torn apart by a storm? Psalm 102:6-7 "I am like.....a sparrow alone on the housetop." Yes, loneliness can be devastating.  But, God truly understands and He does care!  He knows every detail about you. Did you know that a fishing net  bundled up on the shoreline or  on the docks is really of no use? Reminder...... Jesus said to His followers.... You are now fishers of men.   So, it is time to prepare for the great catch. Make sure your nets are mended  and then launch them   into the deep and.... ...... go fishing!

  God does not appear once or  twice during a storm of life to keep you.  God is there every single minute, every day!   He offers us hope in impossible situations,  rooted not in circumstances, but in Christ alone. Today, Lord Jesus, please hear the cries of those struggling! Comfort the weary and the fearful.  Come alongside those who desperately need your intervention, your companionship, and your guidance.  Be their refuge and strength.  Make your presence known.  Encourage them today,  and in the weeks and months to come,  as only You can.  Help them to run to Your arms of love.  Amen.

  Discouragement What can cause discouragement?                                         The year of 2020 has been a lesson plan for discouragement and revelation. # FEAR - We are consistently being bombarded by every segment of society with fear .  During this pandemic we are told we need to do this and we shouldn't do this.  Anarchy is happening in the streets and fear for the safety of our families has settled into many hearts and minds.  Examples of fear and worry in our current culture are too numerous to mention.   For now, I leave with you this reminder of a promise from God..... Deuteronomy 31:8 - "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."                               ...
